Oliver Untersander has been with Tappolet & Partner since 2004, and became a partner in 2011. He advises his clients on all matters of tax law, especially in the areas of national and international tax law, real estate gains tax, inheritance and gift tax law as well as corporate law. He is a member of both the Swiss and the Zurich Bar Association as well as of the International Fiscal Association (IFA). He is fluent in German and English.

From 2000 to 2003 Oliver Untersander held the position of Legal Secretary of the Tax Appeals Committee of the canton of Zurich and of the Direct Federal Tax Appeals Committe of the canton of Zurich. Before that, from 1998 to 2000, he was assistant lecturer to Prof. Peter Forstmoser at the University of Zurich. He holds a Law Degree from the University of Zurich (lic.iur. 1998) und a degree in International Tax Law from New York University (LL.M. 2005). In 2003 he obtained a doctorate in Law, from the University of Zurich as well, and was admitted to the bar in 2004. Since 2003 he has been a substitute member of the Tax Appeals Committee of the canton of Zurich (renamed Tax Appeals Court of the canton of Zurich as of 1st January 2011) and, since 2008, a lecturer at the Schweizerisches Institut für Steuerlehre.
